Hello

Dr. Ishita Rahman attended Mount Holyoke College for her undergraduate education, followed by a research stint at Harvard Medical School. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2015, then completed advanced training through a general practice residency in North Carolina at the Vidant Medical Center.

Dr. Rahman moved to Annapolis, MD in late 2019 as the owner dentist of West Annapolis Family Dentistry (WAFD). She and team share their time between WAFD and Annapolis Center for Advanced Dentistry (ACAD). 

​

Dr. Rahman has pursued advanced training and continuing education courses from the Simply Implant Institute, Occlusal Connections, the Nash Institute, Airway Health Solutions, DOCS Education, Spear, CEREC Doctors, Sleep Group Solutions, Triangle Dental Institute, and many more. She is a Fellow at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (F-ICOI).

Dr. Rahman specializes in treating patients with high anxiety who require additional time and care. She takes a conservative, airway-focused approach to treatment plans. The long-term goal is to achieve a bilaterally balanced occlusion through a combination of gnathologics and neuromuscular dentistry.

Brenda Lignelli

Brenda has been in the dental and medical field for over 40 years. Her passion is dental sleep medicine and will guide you from start to finish. She will answer any questions about your insurance and will be the liaison with the referring doctors. She is an experienced biller and will provide maximum insurance reimbursement under the terms of your policy.

Brenda is a proud mother of a son (Dominick) who served in the AirForce, and has two grandsons, Max and Luca. In her spare time, she loves cooking, sports, walking the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Geneva Davidson

Geneva Davidson, RDH, B.S., has always had a passion for dentistry which has magnified over the years. She has always desired to be in a profession which is so involved with scientific applications but also coincides along with the patient care and to improve a person’s quality of life thus providing the perfect blend. She graduated from Howard University in 2008 where she obtained her Dental Hygiene certificate. After her completion at Howard University, she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University. Throughout her 20 years in dentistry she has advanced her training and continual education in sleep apnea, myofunctional therapy, and using laser therapy for periodontal care of implant patients. As a Dental Hygienist, she focuses on the surrounding communities oral health and has a particular interest in periodontal treatment. Geneva lives in Annapolis, MD where she is married, has three beautiful children, enjoys boating and  experiencing different cultures.

Heather O'Neill

Born and raised in Maryland, Heather earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) in 1999.  During her studies there, she received a Warner-Lambert award of Excellence and first place at the 1999 American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA) Annual Conference for research she had done concerning the fluoride content of bottled water. She continued in research at UMB Dental School Periodontics department after graduation but left to pursue a career in private practice.

For over the past two decades, she has provided compassionate, thorough dental care for the Annapolis community, and surrounding towns. “Treat everyone like family” ~ Heather truly loves her work in dentistry, and has a heart for every patient that she meets. She considers the mouth to be incredibly important to the overall health and well-being of everyone. She’s passionate about educating others of its importance, and encouraging and helping them achieve their optimal oral and overall health and reach personal goals.  

Besides the hundreds of hours of Continuing Education (CE) self-study modules completed, she has been an active member of the local ADHA chapter, and a local Dental Hygiene Study Club where she attributes to gaining the latest up-to-date protocols and medical information pertaining to dental health and overall medical health. 

It was at a local ADHA chapter CE meeting where her Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (MFT) journey began. It sparked her obsession with all things Myo, and how much this physical therapy for the mouth could benefit so many of her patients, family, and friends. Through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM)  she has obtained the post-graduate training necessary to practice Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.
